I wanted to take the opportunity to connect and report that Uni.vs Getaway 2024 was a great success by every metric.
Our students had an incredible time and left empowered and ready to go into University O-Weeks with friends and a missional heart for the people on their campus.
We hosted students from 40 different Churches and 12 different tertiary institutions, 92% of which are attending University full-time this year in 2024. Of those students, 100% said they would recommend UNI.VS to others in the future!
I wanted to personally say thank you to all who have supported this new pioneering project and look forward to building on what God is doing in our Universities here in Queesland and Australia wide into 2024 and beyond.

UNI.VS was absolutely amazing. The best camp to go on if you're wanting to connect with likeminded people before heading into university. It was so full of joy and energy and fun, whilst also allowing people space to grow in their relationship with God, as well as building relationships with others. I had the best time meeting new friends that go to my university, and getting to know them. We were given time to break up into our uni's to chat about things throughout the week and that was so beneficial. I especially loved in our last uni group we were all encouraged to pray for each other. We shared what we would like prayer for and were then able to pray over each other as we headed back into the uni year. It was a beautiful moment of strengthening each other and coming together in unity.
I got there on Tuesday with my friends, expecting just a normal ordinary christian camp. However, the experience quickly changed my mind. I made some new friends, got to catch up with some old friends and had an awesome experience getting some goals on what I need to achieve while I’m in university.
‘I met new friends, strengthened bonds with old ones, worshipped God, created memories! It was absolutely beautiful!’
UNI.VS was one of if not the most uplifting, inspiring, and convicting events that I have ever had the pleasure and privilege of attending, only further helped by the fact that I was able to meet people my age, on the same walk in life as me, who I would be seeing going into the uncertainty that is the next four years. If I could ever say a word to the pastors about the event, I would tell them to be so so proud of the work that they're doing through this event, it is so so awesome and I firmly believe that it's a conference like this that can lay the foundations for a generation on fire to change the world for Jesus
“As a second year uni student, it would be amazing if third year and fourth year students can have a camp whether it’s on their own to introduce them to the real world of the workplaces or even as mentors for other first and second year students. It also would’ve been great if the event was announced more publicly :)”
“Creating a session were people from different uni's but same programs can get together and talk about there experiences or work together during a session. This may help give different uni students connections across unis or ideas. For example QUT might have a redfrogs or alpha type of program but Griffith doesn't. From this, Griffith student might decide to copy the mentioned idea and do what they can to implement it at Griffith.”
